That looks super cool. Related... I rode an electric skateboard for the first time on Tuesday morning. I ordered an electric skateboard for the first time that afternoon lol.

I went 30 mph on it! It was so fun!!! highly recommended

I did not when I tested this guys, but will on my own. I’m a long time board sports guy, but my worst bails have been via longboard...

My pals and I used to rip through traffic on those things (sans motor obvi) can’t believe none of us got seriously hurt. one time I was going too fast and flew off ...hand made contact with ground, knee landed on hand, so the back of my hand gripped the pavement hard enough for me to do a full flip in the air, so much centrifugal force that my wallet flew out of my back pocket...and the cards flew out of my wallet, haha.

I was met by the laughter of my buddies and hopped right back up all bloody but seemingly ok. We skated to a sandwich shop, sat down and ate...I was in so much pain by the end of the meal that I could barely stand!

Shock is a hell of a drug haha.

Oh I did, just years later on a snowboard. Concussion and some missing teeth. Now I wear all the gear lol

To me, it comes down to the power system and the integration. We thought about doing a conversion because we love our existing bik es even though they’re 10 years old but I didn’t want to get into any expensive ‘unintended consequences’ so I went with the Norco VLT cross country. It has the Shimano system which is mounted to a frame designed for it. I’ll post up some pics once it arrives.

Shock IS a hell of a drug. Been injured pretty good several times in my life. It’s really weird being the one bleeding all over the place and STILL being the most calm and sensible person in the room, delegating people on how to deal with “the situation” that is yourself.

“Guys, I’m gunna need to go to the hospital, like soon. You, clear a path. You, you have vinyl interior right? , Y ou’re driving. You, grab me some paper towel, yeah that rag is fine . You, text my wife at ###, tell her I’m hurt, it’s only stitches, and which hospital we’re going to. I’ve got maybe 15 minutes until this catches up with me, let’s get going. ”
